Job Description
Operational Resilience is Sky’s ability to prepare for, withstand and bounce back from threats and shocks. The goal of Sky’s operational resilience capability is to maintain the customer experience and to safeguard Sky’s people, business and reputation. Sky’s operational resilience model addresses the linked disciplines of business continuity, crisis management and emergency response.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to the development and leadership of a best-in-class operational Resilience, readiness and response function.
- Manage resilience projects, ensuring all deliverables are of a high standard and efficiently executed.
- Be a business continuity expert and trusted business partner to senior leaders in the business.
- Test and improve resilience capabilities through the design and delivery of exercises, stress-tests, reverse stress-tests.
- Support senior leadership in the live response to major incidents or crises, including participation in the on-call rotation.
- Maintain industry-leading Operational Resilience performance at Sky by monitoring key metrics, including incidents, continuity planning, finances, and compliance with agreed SLAs.
- Preserve a robust Group-wide control environment, ensuring compliance and up-to-date resilience metrics. Be prepared to present detailed updates to senior stakeholders at any time.
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships with market resilience leads, establishing clear governance structures and providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure resilience efforts are aligned across the Group.
- Work closely with commercial and technology teams to fully integrate resilience principles and ways of working, ensuring seamless alignment with business objectives and operational processes.
- Engage with a wide network of stakeholders, including senior leadership, to deliver accurate, timely and relevant information that informs business decisions and drives operational resilience throughout the organisation.
- Collaborate with other teams within Group Risk to contribute towards continuous improvement across the function

What You'll Bring
Essential criteria
- Strong understanding of operational resilience and the value it delivers to an organisation
- Proven ability to operate across strategic and operational levels, translating resilience into business outcomes
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including engagement with senior leadership
- Excellent problem-solving capability, with the ability to analyse complex issues and develop practical solutions
- Ability to lead and deliver resilience initiatives or projects to a high standard and pace
- Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organisation
- Ability to innovate, challenge existing approaches, and adapt to evolving requirements
- Calm and effective under pressure, with the ability to support incident or crisis response
- Solutions-focused mindset with a track record of delivering tangible outcomes
Desirable Skills And Experience
- Demonstrated experience in operational resilience, business continuity, or crisis management leadership roles
- Experience designing and delivering exercises, stress tests, or resilience testing activity
- Experience working with senior stakeholders to embed resilience into business or technology functions
- Experience managing resilience metrics, controls, governance, or compliance reporting
- Proven experience delivering continuous improvement across resilience capabilities
- Professional qualification (e.g. CBCI)
- Experience working in complex, matrixed, or multi-market environments
- Experience of people team management

How You’ll Work
We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 3 days in the office per week.
Your office base
Our Sky Group HQ. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and workspaces, there’s plenty of space to see your big ideas come to life. Here you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants and cafes.
