Job Opportunity: Senior Operational Resilience Specialist

Location: London/Hybrid
Contract Type: Temporary (6 months)
Daily Rate: £750 via Umbrella Company
Working Pattern: Full Time

We're looking for an experienced Senior Operational Resilience Specialist to join our Operations Planning Department.

What You'll Do:

As a key player in the EMEA Operational Resilience team, you will:

  • Lead the enhancement of the operational resilience framework to ensure that our vital business services operate within impact tolerance.
  • Oversee remediation activities in line with UK FCA PRA operational resilience regulatory requirements.
  • Document standards for operational resilience pillars and update regulatory traceability.
  • Challenge and influence senior stakeholders regarding resilience risks, vulnerabilities, and investment priorities.
  • Coordinate resilience activities across the UK, EMEA, and global functions.
  • Deliver the annual IBS lifecycle, including mapping, scenario testing, and vulnerability remediation.

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in Operational Resilience, Technology Risk, Business Continuity, or Operational Risk within Financial Services.
  • Proven track record in leading enterprise-wide resilience programmes and engaging with regulators.
  • Strong multitasking, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK FCA/PRA Operational Resilience and EU DORA regulations.
  • A solid understanding of Investment Banking business lines and services.

Key Skills:

  • Operational resilience lifecycle components expertise: CIF/IBS determination, mapping, scenario testing, and more.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and continuously improve operational resilience aligned with industry practices.
  • A hands-on approach to delivering first-line-of-defence (1LOD) operational resilience solutions.
