Senior Operations Administrator

Administrator – Contract Support (Schedule and Location Available)

Contract Type & Working Pattern

  • Permanent | Full time (37.5 hours per week) | Office-based in Darwen

Salary

£Up to £29,580 per year

About the Role

Position: Monday to Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Location: Office-based only


Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Manage the contract administration function to ensure an effective, efficient, and compliant service.
  • Track administrative efficiency, including:
    • Staffing levels
    • Achievement of deadlines
    • Accuracy and speed of service delivery
  • Set and enforce clear tasks and deadlines for the administrative team.
  • Conduct regular Performance Development Discussions (PDDs) with staff.
  • Monitor performance against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Implement Lean practices to standardise and improve consistency.

Support & Compliance

  • Assist contract managers and senior leadership in:
    • Preparing month-end accounts
    • Developing budgets and forecasts
  • Provide support and training to administrators, ensuring SUEZ’s administrative processes and procedures are followed accurately.
  • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing admin processes, methodologies, and staffing needs.

Health & Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with policies and procedures across all admin functions.
  • Lead a health and safety-aware culture and be accountable for employee welfare.
  • Train staff on new contracts to align with SUEZ’s administrative systems.

Speaking Stability

  • Regularly liaise with contract managers and senior leadership regarding administrative requirements and standards.
  • Compile management reports and statistics as needed for leadership support.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration is desirable.

Essential Abilities

  • Proven customer service skills with a track record.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
