Senior Operations Analyst - Google (Remote)

Senior Operations Analyst - Google Workspace (Contract) – Remote (WFH)

Contract Role | Payout: $63–$119/hour Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)


Role Overview

We’re hiring for a trusted client seeking a Senior Google Workspace Operations Analyst to oversee, optimise and troubleshoot Google Workspace ecosystem configurations. This senior position focuses on:

  • User & service governance (account provisioning/deprovisioning, permissions)
  • Technical issue resolution (Gmail, Drive, Meet, Calendar, etc.)
  • Security audits (compliance, data protection, access controls)
  • Cross-functional collaboration (partnering with IT, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders)

Ideal for experienced admins and automation specialists.


Key Responsibilities

  • Account & Permission Management

    • Oversee bulk user provisioning/deprovisioning.
    • Configure role-based access controls and auditing policies.
    • Escalate or resolve misconfigurations impacting system integrity.
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization

    • Debug issues in email flows (delivery, spam filtering, aliases).
    • Investigate Drive/Meet performance bottlenecks.
    • Optimise calendar integrations with third-party systems.

  • Security & Operations

    • Maintain Google Security Command Center and Admin Console logs.
    • Enforce workload minimum standards (e.g., encryption requirements).
    • analyse usage reports to flag anomalous activity.
  • Integration & Automation

    • Extend functionality via Google Admin SDK/Workspace APIs (e.g., scripting update bulk access).
    • Develop custom workflows to automate approvals or notifications.
  • Stakeholder Support

    • Train end-user teams on adoption best practices.
    • Document workflows/support playbooks for internal knowledge-sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years hands-on administration of Google Workspace (formerly G Suite).
  • Advanced hands-on experience with:
    • Google Admin Console (users, groups, organisational units).
    • Security features: 2FA, DLP, lookerStudio data analysis.
    • Scripting tools (gனTs, Apps Script) or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshooting skills for deep Gmail/Drive/Meet infrastructure peace.
  • Proactivity in identifying security exposure risks and ROI gaps.
  • Stakeholder management: bridge technical terminology for non-technical teams.
