We are partnering with BNY Pershing to hire a senior operations leader within the Mutual Funds / Investment Operations function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial services operations professional who has led teams within fund operations, wealth operations, custody, platform operations, asset servicing, settlements, reconciliations, or investment administration and is ready to take on a broader leadership role.
You do not need to come from a purely mutual funds background, but you should bring strong operational leadership, a control mindset, and experience working in a regulated, high-volume financial services environment.

- Fund manager account openings
- Fund manager AML due diligence
- Fund trading activity, including STP and manual processes
- Fund settlements
- Share class conversions
- Operational controls and risk management
- Client and stakeholder escalations
- Process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency
This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to the operation while also contributing to wider strategy, governance, people leadership, and transformation.

People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop operational teams and people managers
- Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and strong service delivery
- Support performance management, training, succession planning, and team development

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
