Senior Operations Manager

Location: Lincoln (Head Office)
Salary: £38,000–£50,000 per annum, depending on experience

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring our operations run efficiently every day whilst identifying opportunities to improve processes, customer experience and business performance.

You will work closely with the senior leadership team to oversee installations, support operational staff, develop people, solve problems and ensure customers receive an exceptional experience from start to finish.

No two days are the same, and we're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, making decisions and leading from the front.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the day-to-day operations team.
  • Ensure installation programmes run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Support scheduling, purchasing and subcontractor management.
  • Manage customer escalations and ensure excellent customer outcomes.
  • Coach, develop and motivate operational staff.
  • Improve operational processes and identify efficiencies.
  • Monitor KPIs and use data to drive performance.
  • Work closely with surveyors, fitters and the senior management team.
  • Identify operational risks before they become customer issues.
  • Help shape the future structure and growth of the Operations Department.

About You

We're less interested in the industry you've worked in and more interested in your ability to lead people, solve problems and improve operations.

You'll probably have:

  • Experience managing an operations or service delivery team.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership ability.
  • Confidence making decisions under pressure.
  • Experience improving systems and processes.
  • A calm, positive and solutions-focused attitude.
  • The ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office.

Experience within construction, home improvements, property services or installations would be advantageous, but is not essential.
