Permanent Warehouse Process Specialist
About the Role
Support the department manager in achieving divisional KPIs and objectives within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
As a Process Specialist (Warehouse), you will:
- Deliver all production-based activities with proven 12-month competency.
- Support non-production activities including compliance, inventory, and quality-based tasks.
- Process company returns (customer-owned, consignment, technical service, and PIs).
- Handle trade compliance documentation for shipments to/from GB, NI, and EU, including CHIEF Report (Customs Handling of Import and Export Freight) management.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in all tasks while championing safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Core Production Activities
- Receiving products and safely storing them in designated locators.
- Efficiently picking, packing, and shipping products to customers.
- Cycle counting and lot consolidation to maintain accurate inventory.
Process & Compliance Support
- Creation and maintenance of DEMO Bill of Materials.
- Processing company returns, including logistics and documentation.
- Supporting trade compliance for cross-border shipments.
- Overseeing inventory, quality, and compliance activities, including human tissue products.
- Troubleshooting issues with Lead Coordinators and escalating to the department manager when necessary.

- Offering continuous improvement suggestions and implementing changes through approved channels.
- Training new colleagues in safe working practices and process adherence.

General Responsibilities
- Completing any reasonable operational requests as required.
Requirements
Education
- Equivalent to GCSEs or higher.
Experience
- 3+ years in a warehouse or similar environment (preferably in a regulated or medical industry).
- Preference for IATA and/or ADR Dangerous Goods certification (not mandatory but beneficial).
- Preference for a valid Counterbalance Forklift license (not mandatory but beneficial).
- Essential: Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as Oracle or similar.
