Senior Optimisation Manager
About the Role
The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the implementation and execution of CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) strategies and the day-to-day communication with clients to help achieve their goals.
Introduction to the dentsu Optimisation & UX Team
We are a part of one of the world's largest digital-first, end-to-end media agencies, offering CRO & UX to some of the world’s top companies.
Our team operates like a smaller, independent agency while benefiting from a large agency network. We are a close-knit group of specialists focused on creating customer-centric strategies to improve our clients’ website experiences.
We are expanding our CRO department and are looking for leaders to guide our CRO and UX projects. Our clients include Specsavers, Asda, Dr Martens, Honda, Pets at Home, People’s Postcode Lottery, and Jurys Inn.
If you have a background in CRO, A/B testing, User Research, UX Design, Ecommerce Trading, Digital Marketing, or Data Analysis, and are eager to gain experience working for a leading agency while supercharging your career, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Optimisation Manager, you will:
- Lead a team of CRO & UX specialists, including Strategists, Designers, Data Analysts, Researchers, and Developers. Your responsibilities include:
- Resource management & prioritisation
- Direct team management
- Accept support from experts in Data & Analysis, Design, Research, and Development, while not necessarily needing specialised knowledge in all disciplines yourself.
- Oversee a portfolio of client accounts, providing guidance to ensure our clients receive value for their investment.
- Review team-led client strategies to ensure alignment with long-term client objectives (e.g., A/B testing, page/journey redesigns, acquisition journey optimisation, or site speed optimisation).
- Manage client relationships, mitigating risks and ensuring satisfaction with our services.
- Lead annual, quarterly, and monthly client reviews, reporting on optimisation programme success to senior stakeholders.
- Instil a culture of evidence-based website optimisation within the team through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Direct resource planning, collaborate with Strategists to establish deadlines and prioritise work.
- Build relationships across PPC, SEO, Social, Affiliates, and Analytics to explore collaborative opportunities.
- Identify revenue-growth areas, increase client investment or collaboration with sales for new clients.
- Organise and deliver team training sessions.
- Analyse our services and innovate, ensuring we lead the market in CRO.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
