Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Applications DBA Consultant to join a highly skilled Oracle ERP Managed Services team. This role combines managed services support, customer engagement, Oracle EBS administration, cloud transformation initiatives, and project delivery activities.
The successful candidate will support multiple Oracle E-Business Suite environments, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and contribute to Oracle upgrade and migration projects while delivering exceptional customer service.
Please Note: This position includes participation in an out-of-hours support rota. Successful candidates will be required to work a night shift (15:30 – 00:00) approximately once every 7 weeks. Compensation is provided for night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Provide day-to-day Oracle Applications DBA support across Oracle EBS 12.1.3 and 12.2.x environments.
- Perform Oracle EBS cloning, patching, maintenance, and support activities.
- Manage RMAN backups, recovery processes, and Disaster Recovery environments.
- Conduct database performance analysis, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Create, manage, and resolve Oracle Service Requests (SRs).
- Collaborate with technical and functional consultants to deliver customer requirements.
- Liaise directly with customers to manage changes from design through to implementation.
- Maintain and regularly test Disaster Recovery environments.
- Conduct Oracle Applications and operating system health checks.
- Support customer transitions into managed services following project delivery or supplier handover.
- Participate in upgrades, migrations, lift-and-shift projects, and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications
Skills & Experience
You should:
- Experience as an Oracle Applications DBA, DBA Support Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong Oracle E-Business Suite administration experience across R12.1.3 and R12.2.x.
- Proven experience with:
- Oracle EBS cloning and patching
- ADOP / Online Patching
- RMAN backup and recovery
- Database performance tuning
- Shell scripting
- TLS configuration and JAR signing certificates
- Load balancing, external access configuration, and shared filesystems
- Experience managing Oracle Service Requests (SRs).
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting Disaster Recovery environments and DR testing.
- Oracle database upgrades and Oracle EBS point release upgrades.
- Experience supporting multiple customer environments simultaneously.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes.
