About the Position:
We have an exciting opportunity for a capable and confident Senior Oracle Developer to join our delivery team. With a team of 40 Senior Developers, we focus on delivering new business requirements and resolving production issues. Working closely with design and testing colleagues, the team manages a high throughput of changes to technically complex code. We are seeking candidates who are motivated to challenge the status quo and contribute to evolving the customer journey. Focus on intriguing technical challenges with minimal distractions and enjoy the freedom to concentrate on technical work without the pressure to move into non-technical roles.

What you would do as our Senior Oracle Developer:
- Gain in-depth technical knowledge of ATCORE systems, with rapid adaptation and understanding of existing applications and technical environment
- Become a system expert within the development organisation, through learning by doing, and discussions with team members
- Proactively investigate and implement bug fixes in cooperation with development management and other internal teams
- Work with internal and sub-contractor teams to ensure clear communication of technical issues
- Participate in software development lifecycle activities to deliver and validate new features and fixes according to required timescales and risks
- Use experience of travel/systems to identify and provide appropriate technical solutions
- Proactively manage development risks and issues in cooperation with management team
- Leadership and mentoring of other engineering staff

About You:
To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate competence and experience in the following:
- 10+ years of programming experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL in in large scale information system environments
- As a minimum, a Maths/Science degree or equivalent academic qualifications/experience
- High standard of programming in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL
- A full appreciation of configuration management and issue tracking management issues and systems
It would be great if you would have some of the following:
- Fluency in HTML, JavaScript, Java, JSON with a willingness to pick up and learn new languages and technologies as needed
- Experience within travel reservations & tour operating systems
- Appreciation or experience in software or systems testing

What to expect from our recruitment process:
We aim to make our recruitment process clear, respectful of your time, and focused on ensuring a strong mutual fit. The process typically consists of four stages:
- Introductory video call - A conversation with a member of our HR team to learn more about your background, career goals, and interest in ATCORE. We'll also cover practical information such as hybrid working arrangements, working hours, salary expectations, and the overall employee experience. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the company, culture, and role.
- Technical conversation - A discussion with the Development Manager. This session focuses on the technical aspects of the role, giving you insight into our systems, architecture, and technical landscape while allowing us to explore your technical experience and approach.
- Technical assessment - A practical technical test with our Technical Lead. This may be completed remotely or on-site depending on location and preference. The assessment is designed to understand how you approach real-world technical problems and demonstrate practical skills relevant to the role. We understand this is a time commitment and aim to ensure the exercise reflects realistic work scenarios.
- Final conversation - A final meeting with the Technical Solutions Director and Delivery Director. This stage focuses on broader collaboration, leadership, and alignment with our long-term vision, as well as giving you the opportunity to ask any final questions.
