This is a full-time, permanent position based onsite at our Windsor Centre.
About the Opportunity
As a Senior Outpatient Nurse, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality outpatient nursing services while supporting the Lead Outpatient Nurse in the day-to-day running of the department. Working alongside our consultants and multidisciplinary teams, you'll provide expert nursing care throughout the patient pathway, ensuring every patient receives compassionate, personalised care from diagnosis through treatment.
You'll support consultant-led outpatient and diagnostic clinics, provide specialist nursing interventions and help drive service improvements that enhance both patient outcomes and experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse who enjoys working autonomously, thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding cancer care.
What You'll Do
- Deliver exceptional outpatient nursing care throughout the patient journey.
- Organise and support consultant-led outpatient and diagnostic clinics.
- Assist with diagnostic and minor procedures, including chaperoning consultants where required.
- Perform specialist nursing procedures including venepuncture, ECGs, wound care and suture removal.
- Provide expert clinical advice, education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, radiographers, chemotherapy nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Contribute to service development, clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and support junior members of the nursing team.
- Champion evidence-based practice while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and clinical governance.

What You'll Have
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin.
- Significant experience working within an outpatient setting, ideally within oncology or another acute speciality.
- Experience supporting outpatient clinics and diagnostic procedures.
- Competency in phlebotomy and routine clinical skills.
- Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification.
- Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach to service development and continuous improvement.
- The ability to prioritise effectively and work confidently within a multidisciplinary team.
