Summary
As a Paid Social Lead at Battenhall, you will drive the strategic growth of our paid social advertising offering and oversee its end-to-end delivery. You are a strategic thinker responsible for crafting bespoke paid social strategies for a diverse, global client roster. Working seamlessly across teams, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our paid media capabilities.
Responsibilities
Working as part of a fast-growing, global team, a Paid Social Lead’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop the infrastructure for our paid social team, including growth plans, team training, and new business initiatives in collaboration with UK SLT.
- Owning the development of comprehensive paid strategies, ad plans, and campaigns across social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Reddit, Snapchat) and digital channels (Search, Display, YouTube), scaling to large budgets efficiently.
- Leading day-to-day campaign management, testing, and optimization for all paid campaigns to align with the client’s specific goals and objectives.
- Participating in new business pitches and in-person client meetings, articulately delivering strategic consultancy and having the ability to confidently deliver strategic recommendations and navigate any questions/pushback from senior client stakeholders.
- Owning the financial governance of all paid media activity, including forecasting, spend tracking, and budget management, and partnering closely with Finance to ensure accurate reporting and effective cash flow planning.
- Proven experience with retargeting frameworks, pixel implementation, and Google Analytics web tracking.
- Ensure campaign spend, coding, and budget allocations are accurate and complete before month-end reporting.
- Proactively communicate significant campaign launches, budget changes, and high-value spend to Finance to support funding and payment planning.
- Leading on detailed reports and presentations, delivering actionable insights during and post-campaigns.
- Working collaboratively as one global team, working closely with team members in the UK, APAC, and US & Canada regions to manage clients, new business opportunities, and plan resources.
- Building strong relationships with platform partners to secure access to betas, insights, and best practice support.
- Upskilling and mentoring more junior team members on all things paid.
- Monitor industry news, platform updates, and features, translating these into strategic advantages for our clients.

Skills and qualifications

- 6+ years of experience in a fast-paced creative, digital, social media, or public relations agency.
- Expertise working across multiple industries, sectors, and markets with varying budget scales.
- Hands-on, end-to-end paid experience from initial strategy and planning to activation and reporting.
- Proven ability to scope, sell-in, and execute large-scale, global paid social media strategies.
- Commercially minded with a strong track record in new business and client growth.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness with experience managing significant advertising budgets. Experience working closely with Finance or Commercial teams on forecasting, reporting, and budget management.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high standard of financial accuracy.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns while maintaining accurate financial records.
- Experience with line management within a small team.
- Expert team and project management skills, including the ability to manage complex multi-market projects, teams, and budgets.
- Spokesperson for the agency with a strong internal and external professional profile, regularly sharing insights around your specialist skills and delivering talks/keynote sessions.
- Deep understanding of popular culture, social media trends, and the news agenda.
- Highly professional, approachable, and skilled at building strong client relationships and motivating teams.
- Collaborative mindset, working with the Senior Leadership Team to implement business improvements.
- A passion for embodying Battenhall’s values and promoting a positive, inclusive team culture.
