Butter & Crust is a fast-growing weekend breakfast subscription business. We deliver fresh sourdough, pastries and breakfast extras to customers’ doorsteps before 9am every weekend.
We’re hiring a hands-on Paid Social Video Editor to help us make better Meta ads, faster. 📈🥐 This is first and foremost an editing role.
Most of your week will be spent taking creator footage, founder videos, customer content and product clips, then turning them into sharp 15 to 30-second ads that are ready to run on Meta.
You’ll need to understand more than how to make a video look good. You should understand hooks, angles, pacing, offers and why someone would actually buy.
You’ll work closely with our media buyer and wider team to understand what is performing, then use that feedback to create stronger ads and thoughtful iterations. 🎥⚡
This is not an organic social role or a polished brand-film role.
We want someone with strong editing craft who understands how paid Meta ads work.
You’ll own paid video production, including:
- Editing short-form Meta ads from creator footage, founder videos, product clips, customer content and UGC-style material 🎬
- Building strong opening hooks that quickly earn attention
- Structuring ads around a clear customer angle and reason to buy
- Adding effective captions, text overlays, music, sound design and calls to action
- Turning one set of footage into several genuinely different ad concepts
- Creating new hooks, openings, cuts and messages from winning ads
- Improving existing ads rather than constantly starting from scratch
- Writing simple, natural on-screen copy that feels human rather than over-polished ✍️
- Working with our media buyer to understand what is performing, what is fatiguing and what to edit next 📊
- Occasionally creating simple static or carousel ads
- Using AI selectively to fill footage gaps, support concepts or create useful variations
- Helping plan simple shot lists or creator briefs when new footage is needed

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
