Position Overview
We are looking for a UK-based Paralegal to join Avantia and support our UK Contracts team. Within this role, you will:
- Negotiate investment-related NDAs and related documents with lawyer supervision
- Set up and coordinate workflows
- Manage portal operations
- Assist with playbook updates
- Undertake other client-related work

Key Responsibilities

Contract Drafting and Support
- Negotiate investment-related documents, supervised by lawyers
- Manage prompt intake of new documents with tight turnaround times

Client Support
- Set up and coordinate client workflows
- Assist in setting up portals and facilitating contract signing and finalisation

Team Collaboration
- Work closely with UK lawyers
- Provide ad hoc support to lawyers as needed
Requirements
- Suitable for a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Independent worker with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
- Efficient and adaptable—prioritise tasks and work quickly on matters while balancing competing demands
- High work ethic: committed to delivering an exceptional quality service to clients
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; provide clear, concise advice
- Deep understanding of legal principles with a commercial and pragmatic approach
- Self-motivated, innovative and business-focused
- Eager to find ways to improve processes and support company growth

Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor’s in law, or another discipline required with a GDL/LPC
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a transactional or corporate practice group or in-house commercial legal role
- Commercial contracts expertise, including drafting initial markups for investment-related NDAs
- Exposure to private markets would be highly advantageous
