Senior Paralegal | Senior Team Manager (IP Administration)

The Role: Senior Paralegal & Team Manager
We’re seeking an experienced Paralegal to lead a support team for one of our key, high-growth clients. This opportunity offers a stimulating challenge in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with responsibilities spanning team management, client service, and operational efficiency.
Location: Permanent full-time position available in Bristol, Sheffield, London or Birmingham, with hybrid working options (including remote).
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Paralegals and IP Administrators, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently and consistently
- Oversee performance management, including appraisals, coaching, and ongoing skill development
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new colleagues

Client Portfolio Management
- Handle key client portfolios and critical deadlines
- Foster strong client relationships through Professional, dependable support
- Ensure adherence to firm and client processes within requisition timeframes
- Streamline invoicing for client groups and coordinate with internal stakeholders

Process Improvement & Day-to-Day Operations
- Drive continuous operational excellence via better workflows and methodologies
- Balance workloads with precision during peaks, maintaining attention to detail
- Advocate for business development and team-wide initiatives
About You
Ideal candidates will bring:
- Minimum Requirement: CIPA Patent Paralegal qualification, with complementary experience as an IP Administrator (Secretary) or Legal Paralegal
- Proven People Management: Memorials of recruitment leadership, mentoring, and performance reviews
- Customer Service Excellence: Polished communication skills for client-facing environments
- Organisational Talent:
- Proven ability to prioritise workloads, multitask, and forecast demands
- Self-motivation with resilience for high-pressure periods
- Detail-Oriented Mindset:
- Precision and accuracy in daily deliverables
- Agreability with equal levels of interpersonal and written navigation (internal and external)
- Process Mindset: Prior expertise or interest in automated workflow tools
- Ambition to Grow: Willingness to engage in niche specialisms and interdisciplinary collaboration
