Location: Cheshire (Hybrid / Remote Working Options)
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
About the Company
Our client is a highly respected and well-established independent financial planning firm with an outstanding reputation for advising High-Net-Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) individuals, families and business owners.
The firm delivers bespoke, holistic financial planning solutions across complex investment, retirement, tax and estate planning, building long-term relationships based on trust, technical excellence and exceptional client service.
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join a successful and growing financial planning team. This is far more than a traditional paraplanning role. Working closely with Chartered Financial Planners and Advisers, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering sophisticated financial planning advice while also becoming a trusted point of contact for clients.
The role offers genuine client exposure, including attending meetings alongside advisers, presenting technical recommendations, helping shape financial planning strategies and building long-term relationships with an established HNW and UHNW client base. Operating on a hybrid working model, you'll enjoy a balance of office collaboration, home working and client-facing responsibilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
