Senior Pathologist

An established Contract Research Organisation is seeking a talented professional to join its expanding Pathology Sciences team. This organisation offers a dynamic, scientifically rigorous environment where your expertise will make a real impact. As the department continues to grow, you’ll play a pivotal role with clear opportunities for career progression.

The Role

You will provide expert input across a range of non-clinical safety studies, taking ownership of pathology-related activities and ensuring the highest standards of scientific delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on anatomic and clinical pathology requirements within study protocols
  • Supervising necropsies, ensuring accurate dissection, sampling, and recording of findings
  • Conducting detailed microscopic evaluations and correlating data across pathology endpoints
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external clients to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Supporting, mentoring, and peer-reviewing pathologists in training

About You

  • FRCPath or Diplomate of ACVP/ECVP (essential)
  • Veterinary degree (DVM, VMD, BVM&S, BVSc or equivalent)
  • Experience in toxicologic or laboratory animal pathology
  • Strong expertise in toxicity study evaluation and peer review is essential
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with digital pathology (advantageous)
  • MSc or PhD
