Who Are You?

You're an experienced consultant with a strong track record delivering transformation programmes for banks, financial institutions, or payments organisations.

You understand the payments ecosystem and enjoy helping clients navigate large-scale change, from operating model design to major transformation and payments-related vendor selection and re-platforming initiatives.

You combine structured thinking with a pragmatic approach to delivery. Comfortable leading workstreams and building relationships with senior stakeholders, you're equally at ease facilitating a client workshop, shaping recommendations, or rolling up your sleeves to help solve a complex challenge.

What Will You Do?

  • Lead and deliver payments transformation engagements for our banking and financial institution clients, acting as a trusted adviser and workstream lead.
  • Design and implement Target Operating Models (TOM) for payments functions, ensuring alignment with client strategy and market direction.
  • Drive vendor selection and re-platforming programmes, bringing structure and delivery rigour to complex technology and process change.
  • Provide informed guidance on the evolving UK payments landscape, including regulatory, infrastructure, and market developments such as PSR/PSD3, National Payments Vision, and DeliveryCo.
  • Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and executive presentations, communicating complex ideas with clarity and confidence.
  • Contribute to proposals and business development activities, helping to shape and win new engagements.
  • Collaborate across Projective Group's practices and country teams, sharing knowledge and driving consistency in our consulting approach.
  • Coach and support more junior consultants, contributing to their development and to the growth of our payments practice.

Your Key Knowledge Should Include

  • A management consulting background with demonstrable experience delivering payments transformation programmes in banking or financial services.
  • Solid understanding of payment products, processes, and infrastructure, including retail payments, clearing and settlement, and payments re-platforming.
  • Experience in TOM design and implementation, with the ability to translate strategy into practical, deliverable change.
  • Familiarity with the UK payments regulatory and infrastructure landscape, including awareness of initiatives such as DeliveryCo, the National Payments Vision, and the work of the Retail Payments Infrastructure Board (RPIB).
  • Solid stakeholder management and client leadership skills, confidence in influencing at senior levels and navigating complex organisational environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and structure delivery across complex, multi-workstream programmes.
  • Skills in Business Analysis, Change Delivery, or Product Ownership are advantageous.
  • Degree educated or equivalent.
