Senior Payroll & Benefits Administrator
Location: Manchester – Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)

The Role
We’re seeking a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to ensure accurate and timely delivery of payroll and employee benefits across Bureau Veritas UK&I.
You’ll collaborate closely with HR, payroll, and benefits providers to maintain data integrity, resolve queries, and deliver an outstanding employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and validate payroll data, ensuring all employee changes are accurate and submitted on time
- Support monthly payroll processing, reconciliations, and year-end activities, including P60 issuance
- Serve as a primary contact for payroll-related queries, resolving issues promptly
- Administer employee benefits such as pensions, PMI, life assurance, and EV schemes
- Manage benefit joiners, leavers, and changes while liaising with providers
- Maintain accurate HR, payroll, and benefits data across all systems
- Generate reports and conduct regular data audits
- Contribute to process improvements and HR/payroll projects

About You
Core Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll, HR, or benefits administration
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and UK compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Excel and HR/payroll systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Comfort handling sensitive and confidential data
Desirable Qualities
- Previous experience working with outsourced payroll providers and benefits schemes
- Knowledge of pensions, auto-enrolment, and salary sacrifice
- Familiarity with systems such as SuccessFactors or SD Worx
- CIPD qualification (or working towards it)
