About The Role
Lead Payroll Consultant (Payroll for the UK, EMEA Region)
Join our EMEA Consulting Team to support a high-growth, well-established product: Workday Payroll (UK).
As the trusted advisor, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end implementation across various customers. Duties include leading or supporting deployment of functional streams, guiding customers successfully through projects.
What You’ll Achieve in Your First 12–24 Months
Product Training & Project Ramp-Up
- Learn UK Payroll, Absence & Benefits, and Time Tracking
Collaborate Across Teams
- Work with Data & Integration Consultants for seamless project flow
Implementation Stages & Responsibilities
- Scope & Consultation
- Gather and clarify customer business requirements
- Demonstrate Workday solutions using pre-delivered configurations
- Implementation & Testing
- Develop configurations to match requirements
- Conduct detailed unit testing of the solution
- Customer Support & Deployment
- Lead multiple testing rounds and resolve issues
- Complete final deployment activities
- Conduct knowledge transfer and post-launch support
About You

Ideal candidates bring experience in:
- Workday Payroll Deployment (UK & Ireland)
- Cloud-based HR/Finance software (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft)
- Strong compliance knowledge (UK Payroll legislation essential, Irish Payroll a plus)
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years in consulting (internal or with a consulting/software company)
- Expertise in UK Payroll compliance & legislation
- Experience with Tier 1 business software (Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, etc.)
Other Qualifications
- Business analysis & requirements-gathering skills
- Strong presentation & communication (oral + written)
- Quick learner, comfortable with remote autonomy + collaboration tools
- Ability to travel up to 50% of time
- Fluency in English
