Opportunity in Newton Abbot
An opportunity has arisen based in Newton Abbot to join a growing firm of accountants as a key addition as a Senior Payroller, Bookkeeper and VAT Controller, working on a mixed and varied client base focused on providing payroll, bookkeeping services up to extended trial balance, preparing/reviewing VAT returns along with a variety of other services. Full time, or part time and flexible working arrangements can be explored to suit the right person.

A highly successful and positively growing accountancy practice based in Newton Abbot. The business has been undergoing continued and sustained positive growth through referrals and new business generation. The firm has embraced cloud accounting (Xero etc) and utilises CCH / Sage 50 software.
Description
Joining as Senior Payroller, Bookkeeper and VAT Controller you will take responsibility for the delivery of weekly, monthly and yearly payroll services, bookkeeping services, up to extended trial balance and preparation/review and dealing with client queries on VAT returns. You will work on varied clients mixed in industry range and turnover. Clients are sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, OMBs, SMEs into the £millions in turnovers on largest clients. You will carve a key, support role here to managers and directors with increasing responsibility, client contact and development on offer with the role and firm.

Profile
You may be an AAT qualified technician, or you may have developed your career through experience to date only and be looking to build further on this, in a hands-on role. Most importantly, as a key requirement to be considered for this role and firm, you will have developed experience across the provision of payroll services to varied clients and any of: bookkeeping, preparing VAT returns, CIS, management accounts, etc, within an accountancy practice firm of any size. You will have at least two to three years or ideally more experience, developed across payroll and these other service areas, within an accounting firm / accountancy practice environment. Part time or full time working arrangements can work from three to four days, or full time. A mix of remote/home to office working will be on offer also.

Job Offer
