Senior Pensions Administrator

Senior Pensions Administrator – Hybrid Role (Redhill, Leeds or Welwyn)

We invite applications for a Senior Pensions Administrator within our Outsourcing line of business, where you’ll provide expert support to our leading portfolio of clients—comprising globally renowned and progressive organisations.

About the Role

In this senior-level position, you’ll:

  • Conduct advanced pension scheme administration for defined benefit (DB) and/or defined contribution (DC) plans.
  • Take ownership of complex case work (e.g., retirements, transfers, deaths) requiring accurate calculations and well-drafted correspondence.
  • Mentor and oversee junior team members, ensuring quality work is delivered first time—and providing ongoing support to uphold standards.
  • Utilise bulk processing, automated calculations, and ad-hoc manual adjustments to handle diverse pension matters.

This role offers broad exposure across the pensions administration spectrum, with opportunities for project-based involvement—supporting a range of schemes, processes, and evolving client requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management & Administration

    • Accurately process and resolve intricate pension queries, maintaining high standards in accuracy and clarity.
    • Handle general retirement, transfer, and death-related administration, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and WTW procedures.
  • Quality assurance and supervision

    • Check and monitor work completed by junior colleagues, offering constructive feedback and guidance to maintain error-free outputs.
    • Serve as a key escalation point for technical/non-standard cases and member complaints, ensuring swift and appropriate resolutions.
  • Operational Excellence

    • Apply deep knowledge of pension legislation, regulations, and WTW protocols to deliver consistent, high-quality work for the team.
    • Collaborate with the Team Leader to meet all service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring performance targets are consistently exceeded.
