About the Role
Isio’s Pensions Administration business continues to thrive, growing year on year. To support our ambitious growth plans, we are looking for technically competent and member-focused Senior Pensions Administrators.
Applications are welcome from candidates seeking full-time or part-time arrangements. While this role is advertised for full-time, we will consider alternative working hours—simply state your preferred schedule when applying.
We currently have openings across several UK locations, offering a hybrid workstyle:
- Based in Croydon, Birmingham, Manchester, Reading, Belfast, or Edinburgh
- Flexible working patterns
Key Responsibilities
You will deliver exceptional client service to a portfolio of Defined Benefit pension scheme clients and their members, including:
- Ensuring all scheme activities are processed in line with the scheme rules, taking full responsibility for adherence to client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and high-standard delivery.
- Performing complex pension calculations and data entry (manual/system) across a range of member/scheme events, including:
- Handling enquiries to the required standard.
- Managing both automated and non-automated processes efficiently.
- Communicating effectively with clients and members on complex queries, with occasional attendance at trustee/client meetings.
- Peer reviewing and quality checking work to ensure compliance with scheme rules, legislation, and agreed Regulatory standards.
- Staying informed about technical, procedural, and legislative changes impacting your scheme portfolio.
- Supporting the mentorship and development of less experienced team members, guiding them in best practices.
- Managing small-scale, ad-hoc projects as required.
- Collaborating closely with risk and compliance teams to ensure Timely resolution of errors, complaints, and omissions, in full alignment with stipulated procedures and SLAs.

Requirements & Experience
- Previous proven success as a Senior Pensions Administrator, with specialist knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) pension scheme administration.
- Strong ability to performing complex pension calculations—with peer-review skills ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- In-depth member calculation knowledge, understanding of DB scheme types, governing frameworks, and key legislative issues.
- Outstanding communication skills: ability to engage thoughtfully with clients, members, and colleagues, fostering trust and clarity.
- Exceptional multitasking skills with rigorous prioritisation to consistently meet SLA deadlines.
- Analytical problem-solver, with a commitment to process improvement.
- Desirable: Professional qualifications (e.g., PMI membership).
