About the Company

I'm working with a well-established independent pensions consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Pensions Consultant to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for an established pensions consultant who enjoys building long-term client relationships, attending trustee meetings and providing strategic advice across a portfolio of trust-based Defined Benefit pension schemes. Working within a collaborative, close-knit consultancy, you'll have genuine ownership of your clients, the opportunity to influence scheme strategy and the chance to work across a broad range of governance and consultancy projects.

About the Role

As a Senior Pensions Consultant, you'll manage a portfolio of trust-based DB pension schemes, acting as a trusted adviser to Trustee Boards and sponsoring employers.

Responsibilities

  • Managing long-term relationships with Trustee Boards and sponsoring employers.
  • Preparing for and attending trustee meetings, presenting advice and guiding discussions on key pension matters.
  • Advising clients on scheme governance, legislative developments and strategic pension issues.
  • Reviewing pension arrangements and recommending practical, commercial solutions that balance funding, risk and member outcomes.
  • Working collaboratively with actuaries, administrators, lawyers and investment consultants to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve scheme governance, administration and client service.
  • Managing client budgets and ensuring the effective delivery of consultancy services.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior consultants.
  • Contributing to business development and identifying opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
