JOB DETAILS

Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys solving complex people challenges, influencing managers, and ensuring the highest standards of compliance and employee relations?

At Apogee, we are looking for a Senior People and Culture Advisor to join our People & Culture team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing operational HR with strategic thinking, working closely with managers to deliver fair, commercially sound and legally compliant people solutions.

Reporting to the Head of People and Culture Operations, you will provide expert advice and guidance across a wide range of employee relations and HR compliance matters.

You will partner with managers across the business, helping them navigate complex people issues while ensuring consistency, fairness and compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership, variety and building strong relationships across a fast-paced organisation.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Advising managers on complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and performance cases.
  • Managing complex casework from initial advice through to resolution, including TUPE activity where required.
  • Leading compliance and vetting activities across the employee lifecycle, including Right to Work, security clearance and criminal record checks.
  • Supporting the development, review and consistent application of People and Culture policies.
  • Coaching managers to build confidence and capability in managing people issues.
  • Providing practical, commercial advice based on UK employment law.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, compliance and the overall employee experience.

A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. This role also offers flexibility to work from home, typically two days per week for a five-day working week but there will be week's where you may need to travel to our London and Lincoln offices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
