The Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior People Operations Manager to join our People & Culture team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

You'll take ownership of People Operations during the cover period, acting as a trusted partner to the VP People & Culture and senior stakeholders across the business.
You'll be accountable for the smooth running of day-to-day People Operations while also driving forward systems improvements, working on complex employee relations matters, and contributing to strategic People & Culture priorities. You'll act as the senior Workday subject matter expert for the business, owning the roadmap for system optimisation and partnering with the wider Group Workday team on projects and rollouts.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior People Operations professional who thrives in a high performing environment and is comfortable moving between strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
