Job Title: Senior People Partner

Location: London
Reporting Line: COO
Level for Referral Policy: Mid
Contract Type: Fixed-term, 12-14 months (maternity cover)

Who We Are

Founded in 2002 as a pioneering hedge fund, Marble Bar has built its reputation on intellectual discipline, research, data-driven insight, and a deep understanding of investment behaviours. Since its founding, the firm has helped portfolio managers identify repeatable processes within their investment practice and sustain their edge in constantly evolving markets. For over twenty years, we have successfully identified exceptional managers and created environments to help them generate durable returns.

What We Do

In 2016 we launched The Partners Business and opened our integrated architecture to independent hedge fund managers, supporting them initially as they navigate the fragile early stages of building their businesses.

We are a shared operating system purpose built to support hedge fund managers at every stage of their lifecycle, from launch and early operational resilience to performance development, capital formation, and long-term scale.

This has established Marble Bar as the leading home for exceptional managers wishing to create unique and independent investment firms with the freedom to focus on investing.

Your Role

We are seeking an accomplished and well-rounded People professional to lead the People support function across all group entities on a fixed-term basis, providing maternity cover, and to advise the Senior Management Team on the key areas of Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Employee Experience, Performance Management, and Remuneration.

This is an exciting fixed-term opportunity, providing maternity cover, within this established and successful firm lending support to 60+ people. The role will stretch across a range of responsibilities and require a combination of hands-on People experience, commercial acumen, and market knowledge. This is a multi-faceted organisation with multiple key stakeholders so the ability to build relationships at all levels is essential.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
