Senior Performance Marketing Consultant

Senior Performance Media Manager (Google Ads & Meta Oversight)

Location: Belfast (hybrid, 3 days in office) Type: Full-time Salary: £35–40k base + performance bonus

About the Role

We’re a rapidly growing digital marketing agency specialising in paid media, email retention, and ecommerce growth for direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands across North America and Europe. We handle significant Meta and Google ad budgets for brands in furniture, fashion, fitness and more.

This is a senior, hands-on role with a built-in leadership track. You’ll own end-to-end Google Ads execution for our ecommerce portfolio, providing day-to-day oversight for our Meta buying team. You’ll report directly to the co-founder and Chief Marketing & Performance Officer—effectively stepping into the "number-two" position in performance marketing, guiding clients and team members when leadership isn’t available.

As the business scales, you’ll shape team structure, onboard new media buyers, and contribute to decision-making at the executive level. We’re AI-forward—expect to leverage (not resist) tools for briefing, performance auditing, and data analysis.

What You’ll Own

  • Google Ads strategy & delivery: End-to-end management of Performance Max, Shopping, and Search campaigns for DTC brands. Account management for a portfolio of high-value, ecommerce-focused clients (with lead gen components).

  • Meta ads oversight: Reviewing account structures, creative testing plans, and performance—and coaching buyers (not just inspecting them).

  • Client reporting & advocacy: Owning cross-platform narratives, performance trends, and actionable recommendations. Presenting confidently to founders, CMOs, and heads of marketing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Proactive problem-solving: Identifying attribution anomalies, creative saturation, tracking issues, and budget misallocations before issues arise. Leading discussions on how to fix them.

  • Team growth & mentorship: Collaborating (and one day leading) recruitment, onboarding, and development for junior media buyers. Teaching accountability over micromanagement.

What We’re Looking For

Core Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on media buying—with Google Ads as your specialty. You must have:

    • Built and managed Performance Max, Shopping, and Search campaigns end-to-end for ecommerce brands.
    • Proven expertise with feed management tools (e.g., Mangomint, Optmyzr) and Merchant Center.
    • Addressed attribution, tracking, and data integrity issues.
  • Strong Meta Ads knowledge: Enough to review account structure, creative strategy, and performance metrics with credibility.

  • Ecommerce fluency: Can explain (and improve) AOV, CVR, contribution margin, and platform vs blended ROAS. Understands the nuances of attribution windows, basket consolidation, and error mitigation.

  • Agency experience preferred: Comfortable managing multiple clients, personalities, and project timelines.

  • Teaching drive over hoarding knowledge: A coaching instinct—prefer to solve bottlenecks by helping others than silencing them.

  • Agile communicator: Flags problems early, with clear recommendations, and avoids vague status updates.

  • AI integration mindset: Already uses AI tools like Claude Cowork or Claude AI in your workflow. Bonus if you’ve written data/creative briefs or audit playbooks with them.

  • The substance: Real budgets, influential brands, and the authority to run campaigns your way once proven.

How to Apply

Email your CV plus a short case study to [contact details]. Cover this specifically: Describe one Google Ads campaign you ran independently. Explain:

  • What you observed (the data probably told you to adjust X).
  • What action you took (the fix—actual account changes).
  • The result ( screenshots of before/after results, metrics).

Prioritise raw numbers over flowery prose. We value real thinking over prettier presentations.
