About the role
I'm working on a Senior Performance Marketing Manager role on behalf of an established, direct-to-consumer retail business with a genuinely large and diverse product range across multiple categories. This is a newly created role, and a genuinely exciting time to join the business. You'll have plenty of exposure and real scope to shape paid media strategy from the ground up, rather than stepping into someone else's playbook.
This is a hands-on trading role, not a reporting role. You'll own the day-to-day performance of PPC, with wider visibility across Paid Social, email, and affiliates, and a direct line into the Head of Digital.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of PPC campaign budget amendments, recommending changes backed by clear data
- Execution of campaign setup amendments and liaising with IT on PPC feed improvements
- Optimising product titles and descriptions, using both AI tools and your own copywriting skills, to improve conversion
- Identifying and communicating the key factors affecting PPC performance, including product-level results, pricing, and offer impact, with recommendations to relevant stakeholders and departments
- Managing product pushes based on inventory status, working closely with the Merchandising team
- Factoring margin and inventory into all PPC recommendations
- Staying ahead of trends and platform opportunities through tools like Google Trends, direct contact with Google, and independent research
- Identifying and running new PPC tests
- Periodic review of Paid Social and email performance, feeding recommendations to the teams who execute them
- Reviewing and approving affiliate commission, managing affiliate offers, and liaising with affiliate partners
- Exploring, recommending, and testing Connected TV (CTV) opportunities
- Contributing to wider trading discussions and team reviews, with an awareness of attribution across digital and print/digital

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
