At our core, we're all about people. We go our own way while embracing diversity and celebrating our differences. We dedicate ourselves to the idea that we work better together.
Autotrader is a beautiful, surprising and vibrant place to work. We might not be for everyone, but we could be perfect for you.
About the role
At Autotrader, we're building a best-in-class performance marketing capability. We're looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Manager to join our growing team, specifically focusing on acquisition and engagement across multiple product areas. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This role sits right at the intersection of several business functions. You'll act as the key link between Product, Content, and Brand teams, while working cross-functionally with CRM, SEO, data, engineering, and external agency partners to keep everyone aligned around a shared, commercially driven growth strategy.
You'll also turn complex data into actionable strategies. By championing advanced measurement and attribution frameworks, you'll ensure every campaign optimisation and budget decision is backed by clear insights that reflect real business outcomes. This is a highly collaborative, commercial role with a real opportunity to influence strategy at a senior level and shape the future of growth at Autotrader.
What we're looking for
- Strong performance marketing experience, where you've managed performance strategies across multiple channels, looking at how they work together rather than just running isolated paid campaigns.
- Experience of working with stakeholders between Product, Tech, Content, Brand teams and external agencies and you're comfortable managing expectations up to a senior level.
- You've owned performance forecasts and budgets before, using data to predict trends, set goals, and back up your marketing spend.
- You've partnered with Tech and Data teams to set up solid measurement frameworks and figure out what is actually driving results.
- Hands-on experience running controlled experiments and A/B tests to constantly improve your targeting, messaging, and ROI.
- Experience of taking high-level product priorities and turning them into simple, actionable marketing plans that deliver commercial results.
