Senior Pharmacy Technician - Patient Services
Pharmacy Technician (Senior/Management Secondment) – Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan
About the Role
This fixed-term/secondment position (until August 2027) covers maternity leave and requires prior permission from your current line manager to apply.
We are seeking a committed, ambitious, and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join the clinical team at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. The successful applicant will exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a passion for continuous professional development.
As part of the senior pharmacy management team, the role will involve:
- Line management responsibilities
- Supply workflow coordination
- Supporting Key Performance Indicator (KPI) achievement
- Developing and mentoring pharmacy staff
Key Responsibilities
The post requires leadership in shaping the supply pharmacy service, including:
- Policy involvement and multidisciplinary teamwork
- Development and support of the dispensary pharmacy workforce
- Coordination of pharmacy technicians and assistants to ensure a safe, effective, patient-centred service

Experience
Essential
- Substantial post-qualification experience in pharmacy services
- Experience in managing pharmacy teams
Desirable
- Broad experience across varied pharmacy services
Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Services Skills or equivalent
Desirable
- WCPPE Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician Qualification
- WCPPE National Accredited Medicines Management
- ILM/Management qualification
