Job Overview
We are recruiting a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician with expertise in aseptic preparation, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to mentor others.
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about contributing to a forward-thinking team that provides a high-standard service within a growing establishment.
Recent experience or training in Pre- and In-process checking would be beneficial. Alternatively, we can offer the necessary training, and the willingness to pursue Product Approval Accreditation is essential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will assist the Lead Technician in:
- Implementing EU-GMP (European Good Manufacturing Practice) through staff training to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Managing day-to-day workload, supervising junior staff, and coordinating environmental monitoring with Quality Control.
- Demonstrating recent experience in aseptic preparation, proficiency in EU-GMP, and enthusiasm for training opportunities.

Detailed Job Description

- Conducting Pre- and In-process checks for complex aseptic processes.
- Supervising daily workloads, coordinating staff capacity, and managing facility operations.
- Developing and overseeing technical training packages aligned with EU-GMP and Quality Assurance Approved Procedures (QAAPs).
- Deputising as needed for the Lead Technician.
Person Specification
Education (Essential)
- NVQ 3 (or equivalent)
- Current registration with the GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council)
- Completion of PIPC (Preparation Inspection and Trials Certificate)
Desirable:
- Product Approval Accreditation
Work Experience (Essential)
- Post-qualification experience in a UK Hospital Aseptic Unit
- Experience working with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards
- Management of staff or processes
Desirable:
- NVQ or equivalent assessor qualification
- Ability to mentor or train junior staff
Skills and Knowledge (Essential)
- Competent command of the English language
- Ability to effectively communicate through written, verbal, and digital channels
Desirable:
- Proficient use of Windows-based software
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Motivational leadership skills
