Job Introduction
Senior Photo Editor
As Senior Photo Editor, you will be responsible for the management, sourcing and allocation of imagery across Selfridges, ensuring all visual assets are on-brand, technically accurate and effectively distributed to support marketing, digital and wider creative projects. As the custodian of the Selfridges photographic library, you will curate imagery from internal and external sources, ensuring a consistent visual narrative across all Selfridges channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Selfridges photographic library, ensuring imagery is organised, maintained and readily available across all Selfridges owned and operated platforms.
- Manage workflows through Monday.com, creating, allocating and tracking briefs to ensure imagery is delivered accurately and on time for marketing, digital and wider creative projects.
- Act as the central point of contact for image requests across the business, coordinating a high volume of briefs and ensuring the timely allocation of imagery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the Photostudio, Brand Voice, Printed Graphics, CRM, Trade, Events and Social teams to coordinate content requirements and identify image needs.
- Lead image planning for weekly 40 Duke content meetings, recommending the most appropriate imagery from sourced, brand-supplied and internally captured assets.
- Work closely with the Senior Brand Photographer on creative shoot briefs, ensuring image requirements are clearly understood and that captured imagery delivers against the brief and content objectives.
- Ensure all bespoke, sourced and brand-supplied imagery meets Selfridges' visual and technical standards, carrying out cropping in Adobe Photoshop where required.
- Curate, review and approve imagery supplied by brand partners, ensuring all assets align with Selfridges' brand guidelines and deliver a consistent customer experience.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the Selfridges Style Guides to uphold visual quality and consistency across all customer-facing communications.
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of external photographic talent, researching and recommending photographers aligned to editorial, campaign and commercial briefs.
- Deliver imagery by responding to briefs with on brand, commercially relevant imagery that engages the Selfridges customer and supports business objectives.
- Present Selfridges.com homepage and CLP updates to stakeholders, using visual mock-ups to communicate imagery selections and layouts.
- Manage elevated ecommerce shoot briefs, working from the Customer Planning schedule to establish image requirements, lead times, delivery milestones and launch dates. Act as the key point of contact, ensuring all critical information is captured within briefs and communicated effectively to the photostudio team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
