Role Purpose

The Senior Photographer will oversee all photo sets across all brands such as model, still life and video sets to make sure imagery is technically and creatively kept to a high standard. Leading and developing the photography team both in-house and freelance.

Role Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing all photography processes for BAU, elevated ecommerce imagery alongside marketing assets as and when required.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills by managing and developing in-house and freelance photography team.
  • End to end creation of shoot guidelines and being involved in their continuous improvement in line with agreed business standards.
  • Responsible for effective usage of all photographic and IT equipment, props and supplies on set.
  • Highlight any photography issues or development areas to the management team.
  • Problem solve any technical issues that may develop on set.
  • Work with the Creative Leads and key stakeholders in developing new creative concepts to ensure imagery stays ahead of competitors.
  • Creating new exciting lighting setups and executing these for seasons change and elevated set days.
  • Where appropriate, attend pre-shoot meetings to collate relevant information and agree actions that need to be dealt with by the shoot team.
  • Constantly researching new ways of shooting to improve technical workflow.

Role Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a mid/ senior level in-house for a commercial fashion brand.
  • A strong model and still life photography portfolio that demonstrates expertise in applied techniques and a working knowledge of digital studio photography, lighting, composition, colour quality and aesthetics.
  • Strong technical lighting skills in the studio and on location.
  • Previous experience interpreting client’s creative briefs and following brand guidelines.
  • Confident in continuously coming up with and executing new exciting lighting setups.
  • Proven track record of working to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to work within a creative team leading and motivating others.
  • Strong decision making & problem solving skills.
  • Proven experience with digital cameras, ideally Canon and a thorough technical understanding of lighting equipment, mainly Profoto.
  • Advanced knowledge in Capture One, Photoshop and other Adobe Software.
  • Strong understanding of image colour correction and retouching.
  • Positive attitude and responsiveness to change.
  • Critically appraise own work and take on board feedback from others in order to achieve high quality imagery in line with brand guidelines.
  • Mac & PC literate to include good MS Office skills (i.e. Word and Excel).
  • Collaborative mindset, working with others to create elevated imagery.
  • Video experience a bonus.
