Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

Location: The London Clinic, Central London
Salary: £23.69ph Unbrella
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

We are looking for an experienced Locum Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to join our highly regarded Physiotherapy Department. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside leading consultants and multidisciplinary teams, delivering outstanding care to patients with a wide range of pelvic health conditions.

About the Role

As a Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, you will manage your own specialist caseload, delivering comprehensive assessments and personalized treatment programmes for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, continence issues, pelvic pain, and pregnancy-related musculoskeletal conditions.

Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll help deliver the highest standards of care while contributing to the ongoing development of our specialist Pelvic Health service.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conducting specialist pelvic health assessments and developing evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Performing internal pelvic floor examinations where clinically appropriate and with informed consent.
  • Assessing and treating patients with:
    • Urinary incontinence
    • Faecal incontinence
    • Pelvic organ prolapse
    • Pelvic floor dysfunction
    • Chronic pelvic pain
    • Pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain
    • Diastasis Recti
    • Postnatal rehabilitation needs
  • Delivering manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation programmes.
  • Providing education on bladder and bowel health, pelvic floor exercises, and lifestyle management.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and electronic patient records.
  • Working closely with consultants and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide seamless patient care.
  • Participating in clinical audit, quality improvement, and service development initiatives.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff and students where appropriate.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • HCPC Registered Physiotherapist.
  • Current Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) membership.
  • BSc (Hons) or MSc in Physiotherapy.
  • Significant post-registration physiotherapy experience.
  • Specialist experience in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy.
  • Competent in internal pelvic floor assessment and treatment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
