About The Role

Based from our Global Headquarters at 55 Baker Street, Knight Frank is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Senior Planner to join our growing and busy London Planning Team.

We are looking for talented planning professionals with broad experience, particularly within London and the South East. This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of projects, supporting clients through all stages of the planning process while contributing to the continued growth and success of the team.

Working alongside the wider Land & Development teams, you will play a key role in delivering planning advice, managing projects, developing client relationships, and helping secure successful planning outcomes for a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage planning projects across London and the South East, supporting clients through the planning process from site appraisal through to determination.
  • Prepare, coordinate and submit planning applications, appeals and development strategy work.
  • Advise clients on planning policy, land promotion opportunities and development potential.
  • Support the promotion of strategic land opportunities and residential-led development schemes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, consultants and key stakeholders.
  • Assist with business development activities, including networking, client meetings and proposal preparation.
  • Support senior team members in securing new instructions and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Undertake planning research, policy reviews and site appraisals to inform development potential and strategy.
  • Collaborate with Knight Frank's wider Planning, Residential Development and Land teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Support and mentor junior planning team members where appropriate.

About You

  • MRTPI qualified with 2+ years PQE.
  • Development Management planning experience gained within either a consultancy, developer, local authority or client-side environment.
  • Experience managing planning applications and advising on development opportunities.
  • Experience in strategic land promotion, residential development, mixed-use schemes, or housebuilder projects would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of the UK planning system, planning policy and development management processes.
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience preparing reports, planning statements and client advice.
  • Commercially aware and capable of building strong professional relationships.
  • Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a desire to develop and progress within a leading property consultancy.
