Senior Planning Consultant
Location: Warrington
Salary: Competitve + Bonus

The Role
You'll manage planning projects from feasibility through to determination, supporting clients through the planning process while working alongside Local Authorities, statutory consultees and multidisciplinary technical teams
As your experience develops, you'll have the opportunity to mentor junior planners, contribute to business development and play an active role in shaping the future of the planning function
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage planning applications across waste, minerals and environmental projects.
- Develop planning strategies and provide planning advice to clients
- Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, planning officers, statutory consultees and key stakeholders
- Represent clients at meetings, planning committees and stakeholder consultations where required
- Coordinate technical input from ecology, highways, landscape and environmental specialists
- Prepare Planning Statements and supporting planning documentation
- Support business development and help identify new opportunities
- Develop your leadership skills with the opportunity to mentor and support junior colleagues
About You
You'll be an enthusiastic and commercially minded planner who enjoys working with people just as much as planning projects. You're confident communicating with a range of stakeholders, enjoy building relationships and are looking for an opportunity where you can continue developing your career within a specialist consultancy.

We're Looking For
- Experience managing planning applications from inception through to determination
- Knowledge or experience of waste and minerals planning, or a genuine interest in developing your career within the sector
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A confident and engaging personality, comfortable presenting to clients, stakeholders and planning committees
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Ambition to develop into a future leadership role
Requirements
- RTPI qualified or working towards Chartered status
- Full UK Driving Licence
