Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the development/delivery of planning strategies to promote sustainable growth
- Manage planning applications, appeals, and consultations per policies/legislation
- Conduct site appraisals, feasibility studies, and impact assessments
- Engage proactively with local authorities, communities, businesses, and key stakeholders
- Provide expert planning advice to clients and teams
- Draft Planning Statements, Planning Appraisals, and Statements of Case
- Stay current with legislative changes, policy updates, and emerging planning trends
About You
- Proven planning consultancy, local authority, or development sector experience
- A relevant planning qualification (or in pursuit of one)
- RTPI membership or chartership aspiration
- Deep understanding of the UK planning system/processes
- Strong written communication with impeccable attention to detail
- Approachable yet professional demeanour, with practice-based listening
- Robust organisational skills to prioritise competing demands
- Agile, proactive, and a collaborative team player

Working Arrangements & Additional Information
Our client embraces a flexible hybrid model and recognises productivity isn’t tied to location.
- East Midlands-based role with on-site preference for 2–3 days/week in Nottingham.
- Multiple national hub offices open career paths for long-term flexibility/progression.
