Location: London (Hybrid Working)
We are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner to join our Regional Building Team, playing a key role in the successful planning and delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will provide planning expertise across competitive and negotiated tenders, supporting project teams with robust programmes, innovative solutions, and effective project controls.
You will work collaboratively with clients, consultants, supply chain partners, and internal teams to develop high-quality programmes that support successful project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to winning work.
Key Duties

- Work closely with bid, design, commercial, and operational teams to support work-winning activities, including tender strategy, technical submissions, client presentations, and programme development.
- Monitor project progress, update programmes, identify risks and opportunities, and provide planning support throughout pre-construction and construction to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders while promoting collaborative working and innovative planning solutions.
- Champion continuous improvement, digital planning tools, and best practice, supporting the development of planning standards and mentoring junior planners where required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
