We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to join us!
This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £39,526 - £50,446 per annum.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Senior Enforcement Officer to join our Planning Enforcement and Conservation Team. The main purpose of the role is to lead on the more complex enforcement investigations, often taking the lead, and working in conjunction with the Enforcement and Conservation Team Manager and Principal Planning Enforcement Officer in dealing with applications for Injunctions, and being the lead witness at Public Inquiries and prosecutions.

The successful applicant will be part of a team of eight within the Enforcement and Conservation Team and will work closely with the Principal Conservation Officer in dealing with the heritage enforcement matters and will ideally have knowledge of Listed Building enforcement action, as well as a wide range of other enforcement actions.
The successful applicant will have expertise, knowledge and experience in town planning and planning enforcement, and will be well organised with good communication and negotiating skills. The post holder will also be responsible for mentoring junior members of the team and will have some day-to-day supervision.
