Senior Planning Manager

The project: The Technical Planner provides essential support to the HPC Planning team by ensuring that planning processes, tools, and standards are clearly defined, effectively maintained, and consistently applied across the project. The role supports the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of the integrated planning environment, contributing directly to schedule quality, process compliance, and stakeholder confidence.

As the project continues to grow in scale and complexity, the planning environment must evolve to meet new challenges and deliver deeper analytical insight. The technical Planner helps to guide and support this evolution, ensuring that systems and processes develop as required while remaining structured, controlled, and transparent.

You’ll Be Responsible For

Owning all aspects of the planning process including the integrated programme, critical paths, client programmes and the analysis and acceptance of contractor programmes. Ensuring cost loading of programmes to the appropriate level of cost and progress capture. Analysing contractor programmes and provide feedback to project management including run rates, schedule risks and mitigation measures/opportunities. Ability to lead all aspects of contractual management for programme related events. Directing key assignments, strengthen planning performance, and ensure effective project scheduling and monitoring. Supporting strategic development, due diligence, and sustainable business growth. Fostering collaboration, share best practice, and build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.

You’ll Need To Have

Primavera P6 expertise, managing configuration, performance, users and data integrity. Strong planning governance knowledge, supporting baselines, change control and reporting cycles. Analytical and detail‑focused, assuring data quality and process compliance. Process‑driven communicator, documenting, improving and embedding standards. Experienced in complex projects, supporting audits, lessons learned and continuous improvement. Confident systems user, including Excel, SharePoint and project controls tools.
