We’re seeking a formidable Senior Plant Manager to drive site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence. In this leadership role, you’ll lead strategic direction, champion continuous improvement, and empower teams to deliver exceptional results.

About the Role

As Senior Plant Manager, you’ll lead, motivate, and support teams across production, maintenance, and supply chain to achieve outstanding operational performance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Directing all on-site operations to meet output, cost, and quality targets
  • Championing a zero-accident safety culture, with safety at the core of all activities
  • Developing long-term operational strategies to create a world-class manufacturing environment
  • Managing and mentoring the Site Management Team, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Driving year-on-year cost reduction through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Overseeing operational budgets and ensuring efficient resource allocation
  • Ensuring full compliance with quality systems and industry standards
  • Leading employee engagement initiatives and maintaining strong relationships with unions
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers

Requirements

  • Strong engineering background, preferably in automation-heavy manufacturing environments
  • Proven leadership experience in unionized settings, with expertise in negotiations and site dynamics
  • Deep expertise in safety, quality, and cost management, backed with financial and commercial acumen
  • Budget ownership and financial leadership to optimise performance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to foster high-performing teams aligned with shared goals
  • Experience thriving in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Balanced mix of strategic and tactical execution capabilities
