Trading since 1989, e.surv Chartered Surveyors is the UK's number one residential surveyor and the largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. To put it into numbers, we complete more than one property inspection every 12 seconds and employ over 600 surveyors from Land’s End to John O’Groats and Northern Ireland. This gives us the flexibility to offer nationwide coverage combined with invaluable local knowledge.
We're part of the LSL Property Services Group PLC which includes household names Your Move and Reeds Rains as well as the mortgage network PRIMIS. We work with lenders, intermediaries, social housing entities and estate agents in addition to private customers.
Role Purposes
The role is responsible for providing 3rd line support for cloud services, such as email, IaaS, PaaS, IaC, storage, DevOps and network environments.
Main Accountabilities
Responsible for the technical design, planning and implementation of cloud infrastructure services to support e.surv’s strategic projects and technology roadmap Be pivotal in e.surv’s adoption of Cloud technologies, playing an active role in modernising services in Microsoft Azure, including the use of IaC. Provide day-to-day 3rd line support of the IaaS, storage and network infrastructure Provide day-to-day 3rd line support of IT services and tools such as Active Directory, File & Print services, and Exchange Online. Provide efficient and effective escalation path for junior members of the team Own day-to-relationships with extended technical partners in the management of IT services, working in a collaborative and transparent culture Promote technical implementations into production Ensuring IT assets are maintained in the IT Asset register Ensure supported services are kept updated, secure, and plans in place prior to End of Life To lead any root cause analysis and resolution of problems. Own and drive problem management for the relevant technical areas.

Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
Experience in designing, implementing and supporting Azure Cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, Networks) Experience in building infrastructure services with Infrastructure as Code Deep experience of supporting Active Directory, GPO, and Azure AD. Experience of building/managing pipelines within Microsoft DevOps Good exposure of supporting Remote Access Solution e.g. VPN, Cloudflare Experience of anti-virus solutions (e.g BitDefender) Understanding of networking protocols (IP routing) and principles of network traffic, TCP/IP and networking technologies Solid understanding of Backup and Restore technologies, including Azure ASR Experience acting as technical escalation point for support teams Good knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, iOS) Good Understanding of process improvement including Incident and Problem Management
