Immersum are supporting an established financial technology organisation as they continue to invest in their Platform Engineering capability. They are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for delivering secure, resilient and scalable infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications. This is an opportunity to work on complex technical challenges within a highly regulated environment, helping to drive cloud adoption, automation and platform modernisation initiatives
The Company
The business are a well-established technology business operating within the financial services sector. They develop and deliver software platforms that support critical business processes for a global customer base. With continued growth and investment across technology, they are expanding their Platform Engineering team and are seeking an experienced engineer who can contribute to the design, delivery and evolution of their infrastructure estate

The Role:
Designing, building and maintaining secure, highly available cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments. Partnering with Software Engineering teams to deliver scalable and resilient platform solutions. Driving automation through Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines and platform engineering best practices. Building and supporting containerised workloads and Kubernetes platforms. Enhancing platform observability, monitoring, security and operational excellence. Supporting cloud migration, infrastructure modernisation and platform transformation initiatives. Managing infrastructure performance, reliability and cost optimisation. Troubleshooting and resolving complex cloud, networking and infrastructure issues. Leading the adoption of modern engineering tooling and AI-assisted development practices.

What We're Looking For Strong experience designing and supporting AWS-based infrastructure. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling. Strong Kubernetes and containerisation knowledge. Solid Python scripting and automation skills. Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience. Good understanding of cloud security, networking and platform reliability. Experience working within complex, enterprise-scale environments. An interest in modern engineering tooling, automation and AI-driven workflows.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering function where you'll have significant influence over platform architecture, cloud strategy and engineering standards whilst working alongside highly skilled technical teams.
