The DevOps Engineers will play a key role in the strategic design, hands-on delivery, and oversight of workstreams relating to Cloud Platform, DevOps, Security, and Network support for the Fnality Payment System. As the SME, this person will be tasked with auditing the current technology ecosystem and making recommendations which future-proof the Platform model to support long term business growth. Having worked in a similar industry, the DevOps Engineer will have the knowledge and experience, basing their decision-making around considerations relating to the storage of highly sensitive data. The engineer will be expected to be a proactive and confident practitioner of AI technologies, continually identifying responsible, secure, and practical ways to use AI to increase their own throughput, improve the quality of engineering outcomes, and help the wider team deliver faster and more effectively.

We are looking for two DevOps engineers, one to be based out of our London office (hybrid) and one to work out of our Connecticut office (hybrid).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Apply your deep knowledge of Kubernetes and the application stack to bring new services to production through resilient, fully automated, cloud-native delivery.
  • Deploy and support Fnality highly resilient and scalable technology products and platforms to customers.
  • Demonstrates strong security awareness, with the ability to identify potential vulnerabilities and proactively remediate security risks.
  • Working with the wider team to create, maintain, and deliver against an organized and cross-organization aligned backlog of delivery and support operations.
  • Collaborate with Development, QA, Cyber Security, and SRE teams to deliver platform changes and ensure smooth, reliable operations.
  • Maintain and enforce compliance standards across the platform, embedding controls into day-to-day engineering and operations.
  • Drive observability and resilience by owning application monitoring, alerting, and event management.
  • Reviews technical designs and provides well-founded input or challenges assumptions based on practical experience and industry best practices.
  • Contributes to 24×7 operational support and incident management – please note our on-call requirements are not fully defined as yet, but there will eventually be an element of this.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A bit more about us

Digital transformation is changing our lives, work, and businesses. While other sectors evolve, however, financial markets remain slow, fragmented, and siloed. What the world needs now is a future-facing financial system for the digital age.

At Fnality, we have been speaking – and listening – to the real users of today’s financial systems. From businesses to banks, there is a clear, collective ambition for a simpler, faster, safer, and more resilient payment system; one that can move and settle money quickly and efficiently, with minimized risk and much more transparency.

Fnality Global Payments

We are building a new payment system that will enable tokenized, peer-to-peer markets.

Fnality Global Payments (FnGP) will comprise a series of national systems, each regulated in its home jurisdiction. We call each of these a Fnality Payment System (FnPS).

In each payment system, a Fnality settlement asset will act as the settlement/payment asset for any Payment (P), Delivery v, Payment (DvP) or payment vs. payment (PvP) need.

FnGP are underpinned by Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). The nature of DLT is such that it enables FnGP to:

  • Operate a true peer-to-peer market
  • Allow for immediate settlement
  • Interoperate across business platforms and jurisdictions

The key benefits of the above are:

  • Reduced counter-party and credit risk
  • Reduced operational risk
  • Efficient liquidity management
  • An ability to move resources from risk mitigation to business growth

How will we use the information about you?

We will use your personal information to process your application, to enable us to assess your suitability for a role, and for other legitimate business purposes such as improving our sites and talent management practices. We may share your data with third parties to achieve these purposes. We will not use or share your information for marketing purposes.

[CB1] We ask for experience as a Devops Engineer in the Skills and Experience section and also separately for NIST and ISO exposure.

These are then combined and put as desirable but not essential, they should be one or the other.
