Job Details
- Location: Manchester, Birmingham, or Slough (Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 remote)
- Rate: £560–£589 per day
- Start Date: Mid-July
- Type: Contract (6-month initial term with extension potential)
About the Role
We’re supporting a confidential client delivering a major infrastructure transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team.
This opportunity involves a key role in building a modern internal hosting platform using Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, helping to develop a strategic platform that will underpin future infrastructure services.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the build and deployment of a new enterprise-hosted platform.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and delivery teams to accelerate platform delivery.
- Apply hands-on engineering expertise in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Drive platform engineering best practices to modernise infrastructure.
- Deliver high-quality, low-ramp-up solutions.
Essential Skills
- Strong commercial experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes.
- Proven experience in platform or infrastructure engineering.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise platforms.
- Ability to operate independently within complex technical environments.

- Experience with Ansible.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
- Comfort working in large-scale enterprise environments.
