Senior Platform Partnership BD Manager, TikTok For Business
Location: Remote (work-from-home) with travel required for client and team engagements.
THE ROLE
Acceleration Partners is seeking a Senior Platform Partnership Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of platform and API partnerships that drive small and medium business (SMB) advertiser acquisition and revenue for TikTok For Business. This role bridges product, engineering, and go-to-market functions, encompassing:
- Structuring partnership deals
- Deepening technical integrations
- Accelerating how partners onboard TikTok For Business for their merchant and client bases
The ideal candidate is a hunter—equally adept at identifying and closing new partnerships as developing live, operational integrations. Commercial instincts and technical curiosity are critical, along with the ability to collaborate seamlessly between business development, engineering, and product teams.
TOP 5 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and close partnerships with CRM platforms, e-commerce tools, and marketing automation providers.
- Own the entire business development lifecycle from initial contact to signed agreements.
- Develop and maintain a strong network across the platform partnership ecosystem.
- Represent TikTok For Business at senior and C-level engagements.
Partner Onboarding & Integration
- Lead post-close activities, including technical onboarding and API integration scoping.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure integrations go live efficiently.
- Translate commercial commitments into actionable operational outcomes, enabling partners to activate advertisers at scale via TikTok For Business APIs.
Joint Go-to-Market Execution
- Co-create and execute co-marketing, co-selling, and activation programs with partners.
- Design GTM motions that leverage TikTok’s platform strengths to grow effective monthly active advertiser (EMAA) counts for partners.
Performance Ownership & Reporting
- Track and report on critical KPIs, including:
- Registrations
- New customer acquisition (NCA)
- EMAA growth
- Revenue outcomes
- Use data-driven insights to optimize partnerships and focus high-impact efforts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the liaison between external partners and internal product, engineering, and marketing teams.
- Clearly communicate partner needs, flag early blockers, and ensure internal prioritisation and execution.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
By 6 Months:
- You’ve mapped key partner targets and initiated outreach with priority prospects.
- At least one partnership will be in active onboarding or integration scoping.
- Develop a foundational knowledge of TikTok API products, enabling high-level discussions with technical teams.
- Build solid relationships with product and engineering stakeholders.
By 1 Year:
- Close and fully onboard multiple strategic partnerships, contributing measurable EMAA growth and revenue.
- Have a matured BD pipeline and a joint GTM motion operational with at least one major partner.
- Analyze portfolio performance to determine highest-ROI partnership types and optimise accordingly.
- Proactive reporting, strong cross-functional relationships, and veto-strategic influence on platform partnerships.

- Engages directly with merchant-facing partners at all levels.
- Translates partner needs effectively for product/marketing leadership consideration.
- Self-starter: Thrives in remote collaboration with multiple partnerships, maintaining strong delivery standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Core Competencies:
- 5+ years in platform partnerships, business development, or API partnership management (track record in onboarding/integrations, not just sourcing).
- Fluency in APIs, ability to:
- Read API docs confidently
- Engage directly with engineering teams
- Identify where technical configurations create or block value
- Foundational knowledge of digital advertising, especially how SMBs buy advertisements (pixels, conversion tracking, campaign creation functionality).
- Commercial acumen: Experience structuring win-win deals, understanding partnership economics and measuring impact.
- Fluent in English (required); bonus points for German/French/Spanish/Italian/Dutch fluency.
- Experience collaborating with product, engineering and marketing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
