Senior Platform Partnership Business Development Manager – TikTok For Business
Role: Remote (global), Work-from-Home, with travel for client meetings and events
About the Role
Acceleration Partners is hiring a Senior Platform Partnership Business Development Manager to drive platform and API partnerships that expand SMB advertiser acquisition and revenue for TikTok For Business. Based at the intersection of product, engineering, and go-to-market, this senior professional will:
- Identify, structure, and close partnerships with CRM, e-commerce, and marketing automation providers
- Own end-to-end partnership onboarding, from initial deal to live technical integration
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless API-driven activation of advertisers
- Build and scaling a network of platform partnerships throughout EMEA
The role demands a hunter’s mentality, blending commercial expertise with technical curiosity to bridge gaps between business and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partnership Business Development
- Identify and pursue new platform (API, CRM, e-commerce, marketing) partnerships
- Lead entire BD cycle: outreach → pitch → agreement signing
- Represent TikTok For Business at senior- and C-level meetings
- Maintain an active partner network across the ecosystem
2. Partner Onboarding & Integration
- Drive post-close technical onboarding (scooping API requirements, working closely with product/engineering)
- Translate commercial deals into operational success
- Support API integration activations for partners at scale
3. Joint Go-to-Market Execution
- Co-create and execute co-marketing, co-selling, and activation programmes
- Develop GTM motions aligning TikTok’s platform strengths with partner ecosystems
- Accelerate Effective Monthly Active Advertiser (EMAA) growth

4. Performance Ownership & Reporting
- Track and optimize KPIs (registrations, NCA, EMAA, revenue)
- Apply data-driven analysis to pipeline performance
- Adjust strategies to maximize returns
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as bridge between partners, product, engineering, marketing
- Ensure clear communication of needs, priorities, and blockers
- Facilitate alignment on internal resources
What Success Looks Like
By 6 Months
- Partner ecosystem mapped; prioritized prospects engaged
- At least one partnership in active onboarding/integration
- Developed proficiency in TikTok APIs and internal engineering relationships
By 1 Year
- Strategic partnerships closed and onboarded, driving observable advertiser growth
- Structured BD pipeline with measurable ROI
- Collaborative GTM motions with a portfolio of anchor partners
Qualities of the Ideal Candidate
- Hunter mindset – driven to open new deals, not only manage existing ones
- Fast learner with commercial + technical agility: e.g., reading API docs, translating requirements for engineers
- Operates with urgency: thrives in end-to-end integration timelines
- Data-driven: track pipeline, measure impact, iterate with evidence
- Strong communicator across merchants, tech teams, leadership
- Remote autonomy: independently manage multiple ongoing partnerships
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years in platform partnerships, API/BD, or technology sales/marketing
- Proven track record: closing + operationalizing partnerships (beyond sourcing)
- Technical/API fluency: reading docs, discussing integrations with engineers
- Experience with digital advertising (SMB ad tech, ad products formats)
- Commercial acumen: deal structuring, negotiation, ROI measurement
- Fluent in English (required); Fluent in German/French/Spanish/Italian) bonus
- Cross-functional collaboration (product, engineering, marketing)
- Bachelor’s degree, travel flexibility for meetings/events
