You will join a successful international insurance company who specialise in commercial insurance and reinsurance products. The team are looking for a Senior Portfolio Architect to provide strategic technology leadership across a complex portfolio of business and technology initiatives. This role will play a key part in shaping future-state architecture, aligning technology investments with business objectives, and driving large-scale transformation programmes.
A particular focus of the role will be ensuring that Artificial Intelligence is embedded at the heart of business and technology transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will be expected to identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, machine learning and AI-enabled delivery capabilities to accelerate innovation, improve operational efficiency, and create competitive advantage.

- Define and own architecture strategies and roadmaps across multiple programmes and business domains.
- Translate business objectives, portfolio priorities and transformation goals into clear technology direction.
- Drive architectural decision-making across software, data, integration, cloud and infrastructure domains.
- Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to shape future-state operating models and technology capabilities.
- Lead architecture governance, design reviews and assurance activities.
- Develop reusable architecture patterns, standards and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to utilise AI and automation within transformation programmes to deliver measurable business value.

- Salary up to £125,000 + 17.5% bonus

Experience & Skills Required
- Proven ability to shape portfolio-level technology strategy and architecture roadmaps.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Deep understanding of end to end enterprise, solution, integration, data and cloud architecture principles.
- Experience leading architecture governance and design assurance processes.
- Strong knowledge of API-led integration, cloud-native architectures, resilience and security.
- Experience incorporating AI, automation or machine learning capabilities into business or technology transformations.
- Ability to assess where AI can improve processes, decision-making and customer outcomes.
- AWS and/or Azure cloud experience
- Insurance/financial services industry experience
