Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum

About the Role
The primary objective of this Senior Power Electronic Design Engineer role is to:
- Develop new design concepts to address and resolve customer challenges
- Deliver innovative products into production
- Review and optimise existing products

About the Business Culture

- Collaborate with key departments, including quality, projects, procurement, sales, and others

Key Responsibilities
A Senior Power Electronic Design Engineer will:
- Design and engineer high-power switch mode power supplies (SMPS)
- Contribute to system-level power requirements development, capturing, and reviewing
- Develop and review power supply magnetics design, with preference given to those having experience in planar magnetics design
- Ensure accurate schematic capture and deep understanding of PCB Layout (primarily in Altium)
- Gain and apply knowledge of manufacturing techniques, assembly processes, and mechanics
- Conduct and manage design calculations
- Produce or assist with development of technical specifications, drawings, reports, instructions, and testing procedures
- Contribute to documentation support required for verification and compliance
- Understand and navigate manufacturing workflows as well as MRP/ERP systems
